• The 2011 C.R.A.B.S. Free Agent Draft will be held in the C.R.A.B.S. Chat Room on Saturday, March 12, beginning at Noon Eastern, 9 am Pacific.

  • Each team owner should log on to the C.R.A.B.S website, and go to the C.R.A.B.S. Chat Room, and log onto the Chat with their first name and team name (Example- George_NYYankees). Each owner should do this at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the draft.

  • Beginning with the 2009 season, C.R.A.B.S. will switch from a bid draft to an NFL-style draft. The draft will last 10 rounds, with each team initially having one draft pick in each round, which they are able to trade, with some teams forfeiting draft picks for signing more than the alotted number of "freebie" free agents during the previous season.

  • Picks in each round will be timed to curb the overall length of the draft. The first 3 rounds, teams will have 5 minutes to make their selection. Rounds 4 and 5, teams will have 3 minutes and rounds 6-10, 2 minutes. If a team fails to make their selection in the allotted time, the team with the next pick may jump ahead and select a player. This will continue with the following teams, until the original team makes a belated selection (Or doesn't). When this happens, it is referred to as getting 'Vikinged'.

  • Trading is allowed during the draft (Please use Private Chat to engage another owner)- but both teams must notify the Commissioner before the trade is valid.

  • Teams must start the season with a minimum of 26 players. If a team finishes the draft without at least 26 players, they will either need to trade for players to reach the minimum, or they will be forced to sign free agents, which will count against their 7 free agent "freebies". After a team has signed 7 free agents, they will forfeit the latest draft pick that they currently (As of the time of the trade) own in next season's free agent draft for each subsequent signing. If a team forfeits or trades all of their picks in the next season's draft, they will not be allowed to sign free agents once they have used all of their freebies.
